Elementary School Asthma Education Program
The Canadian Children’s Asthma Society has developed an Elementary School Asthma Education Program that helps educate children in the age range of 7 to 9 years old on Asthma and how to support fellow classmates who may have Asthma. The program involves a one hour presentation to students at participating elementary schools across Canada.  The program includes age appropriate level videos explaining: what is Asthma, its effects on children who have been diagnosed with Asthma, and what to do in an emergency situation when a fellow classmate is having an Asthma attack. Each child will receive a detailed information brochure with Asthma information and contact information for the Society if they would like to access further programs or assistance.
We are happy to announce that this program has resumed at various schools in Northwestern Ontario that are being visited and the program will be presented to a number of elementary school classrooms.
